The Advertising Agencies Association of Bangladesh (AAAB) hosted its Networking Hub on 18 August 2025, bringing together agency leaders and brand representatives for an evening of dialogue, inspiration, and industry collaboration. The Guest of Honour was Yasir Azman, Chief Executive Officer of Grameenphone, who shared his vision for the future of advertising in a rapidly evolving marketplace.

      • More than 65 participants representing 35 advertising agencies attended, alongside senior members of the Grameenphone team including CMO Farha Naz and divisional marketing leads.

      • Joint Secretary M A Maruf opened the program, followed by General Secretary Syed Ahsanul Apon who outlined pressing industry challenges such as VAT and tax policy, intellectual property rights, and pitch fees. He also presented AAAB’s recent advocacy achievements: simplification of foreign currency payments for global platforms, VAT policy reform, and reinstatement of 100% tax exemption for the advertising-ITES sector.

      • Vice President Nazim Farhan Chowdhury introduced the Guest of Honour. Yasir Azman spoke on shifting consumer behavior, the growing importance of creativity, evolving brand marketing budgets, and the role of artificial intelligence in content development. He emphasized adaptability as the defining skill of the future and praised AAAB for convening this cross-industry exchange.
